race 4

InfernoMotorsports went racing this weekend and had problems all day Friday with
a car that would not rotate or turn getting into the corners
After practices Friday and Saturday we still had a car that would not handle
We qualified a poor 11th out of 17 cars more than a 1/2 of second slower than
the fast time.

Saturdays race was a impound race and after we qualified all the cars are impounded,
We pulled our car out of impound and took it back to our pits, that meant we had
to start at the rear of the field and present our car back thru technical inspection
prior to the race.

I made the decision to go back to our race shop and get a whole new set of
springs and shocks off the shelf and install them with out testing or practice
laps.
Joe started the race last and since we did not know what we had as far as
driver safety and handling we started a 1/4 lap behind the rest of the field.
Joe did a good job and stayed running last until around lap 12 when a yellow
flag came out, that's when I asked Joe , how`s the car? ,

Joe felt it was pretty sporty but.. not perfect!!! on a scale of 1-10 around a 7
I told Joe to that he no longer had to run in the back and... go for it !!!
so, when the green flag came out Joe started picking off cars from last place,

Joe passed 9 cars in the rest of the 40 lap race to finish 8th
It looks like our handling problem has to be a internal failure of a shock.

We will be sending out all of our shocks this week to see what shock failed
internally and why.

Great job Joe !!
