Well.. we started 11th out of 38 cars entered
we won the 3rd heat race after being shoved into the leader on the
opening lap and wrecked both sides of the car and bent a wheel, Joe drove
his ass off bent wheel torn up body and all, the crew and I went to work
repairing the car and when we were done you could not tell it was damaged , we
re squared the car, took the whole left side body off repaired the inside tin
work, repaired all the mounting brackets and she looked good as new ,
during there feature Joe was just staying in the top 10 until the 10
minute break that came on lap 82 , Joe asked for a very minor change , 2
lbs out of the rt rear tire and add 1/2 of turn in the sway bar,
We returned to the track starting 11th and went back to green, Joe said
the car was much better from the center of the corner off and felt he could
race under anyone off the corner better , on lap 96 the top spots from 4th to
15th were nose to tail when the car 2 feet in front of Joe spun and Joe
tried to avoid her and just caught the back edge if her car and broke off
the left ft shock mount , we thought we had a flat or the tire was going
down so Joe made a pit stop in the infield and the crew changed the left ft
tire , but , it turned out to be the mounting bracket and the car could not
continue , we felt we had a top 7 car and we were pleased with the
performance and the hard work our crew pit in .
We are disappointed in the final results since it does not reflect the
outstanding driving job Joe did and the performance and handling of our car
.
