Race 4 results

Double main events tonight!
During the week while doing normal service on the
Horn Industrial services Monte carlo we found
the left front shock leaking  fluid, We took the
shock to be repaired and found out the shock  had
leaked enough fluid that it had a air pocket between
the valving and the air bag.  A  whole 15.00 dollar
seal had failed and was a major factor in the handling
of this car.
While we were changing the cars  handling we could
could not see the fluid since  it was just weeping , but,
Just the same it was creating a void and a air pocket
inside the shock.
We  installed the new shock and could not wait for
Saturday`s practice to see how this changed the  handling
on our car, Joe took the car out  on the old tires we ran
last race to see what the shock has caused and what had
changed.
Once we hit the track Joe said the car had a better feel and
now the car was spinning the tires and needed forward
bite, Saturdays race was a double feature and all the cars
were impounded by Nascar for the 1st feature event  after
qualifing,  Joe qualified 5th fast but wanted more grip still.
The cars are not allowed to be touched again except for
air pressures  prior to the first feature event, Joe went
out and finished 6th in the event and when  it was over
he was back in the pits where we changed everything
on the car except the driver, we changed springs, shocks,
bar locations and valving on the shock settings, Joe had
no idea what he had, he was told, race it!!!
The 2nd race Joe started where the finished in the 1st
race.
Joe went  on to  finish 4th in the 2nd feature and  had a
much better car , we just need  a little more power that we
may try to get with valve and ignition timing changes.
